The Victorian Network of Smokefree Healthcare Services was established in late 2011 by four foundation members to support the efforts of health services and to champion this cause at government and stakeholder level:
- Barwon Health
- Austin Health
- Alfred Health
- Peninsula Health
Since then, the network has expanded significantly to involve 31 Victorian healthcare services. Members represent metropolitan and regional / rural based services, as well as general and specialised services within acute and community settings. Both public and private services are also represented.
One of the benefits of membership is having the opportunity to benchmark performance in relation to the Global Standards through the process of self-audit. To date, the following members have achieved either Bronze, Silver membership levels based on their self-audit results (and year of submission) OR GOLD membership after participation in GOLD Forum:
